There are a lot of differences between a sunset and a sunrise.  A sunrise is a time for thoroughly ringing out your eyes with the sides of your index fingers and wondering why you got up at such an early hour to see a small portion of the circle.  A sunset is a time for reflection upon the day.

One of my favorite feelings in the whole world is thinking of someone you love.  It feels like the millisecond before you take a deep breath into your lungs.  Everything you worry about washes away, and the tide soothingly drags you out to sea but you don’t mind, because you’re both swimmers but more importantly you’re both together.  Love is forgetting that the shoreline is there and embracing the waves.

There is no place that I’d rather be than running through a field of wheat, in the heat of summer, not knowing when I’ll reach the open edge of the field, but knowing that I will eventually.  My field of vision reduced, my legs automatically pressing on further and further, the question of the end becoming more and more important to the cells deep within my body, loyally churning and cranking out energy to keep me from giving up the chase.  Finally, a release of sunlight, a gasp of air, a cool breeze, and all is right again.  The next field waits in front of me.
